Analysis: The Western Europe subregion has a pretty clear trend of having a predominantly white majority group in each country. There are some specific ethnic groups, such as north africans in France, that represent some type of involvement with that particular country. Compared to countries like the United States, Western Europe has little diversity in its ethnic groups.
The Brief: Ethnicity in Western Europe, although usually constant, recently has seen demographic shifts ancts in the region. A surge in Syrians in Western Europe is a result due to the Syrian Civil War that is taking place currently. Furthermore, there are quite a few ethnic conflicts that are active in Western Europe. These include the Catalan conflict in Spain as well as the Basque conflict in France that has over 400,00 supporters/followers. Overall, however, ethnic distribution in this subregion is quite constant and all across the board like with a large white native population with a few small scattered minorities.
